NOTE: This DVD is revolutionary as far as I'm concerned...it includes two different audio tracks -- soundboard and audience. The soundboard audio was dubbed over the video and is the default audio. The audience audio is what was recorded by the taper who filmed the concert. The viewer can switch back and forth between the audio tracks by pressing the "Language" button on his remote control.
Unfortunately, the soundboard audio isn't perfect. The main menu screen states that the "soundboard source was remixed by Achtungpop". There is an obvious edit approximately 51 seconds into the recording where the quality of the soundboard recording changes. Apparently the "remixed" soundboard audio kicks in here. I hate to say it, but if the original soundboard source was the same as the commercial audio bootlegs of this concert that are widely available, we would be better off if the audio on this DVD wasn't "remixed". As it is, the soundboard audio has a bit of a wavering quality throughout much of the concert.
The audience audio is excellent.
The video was shot from the stands on the left side (Edge's side) of the stage at approximately a 60 degree angle. This is one of the finest audience-shot videos from the Zoo era. It features a mix of wide angle and close up shots, but most of the footage is fairly tight. And details are fairly sharp on the closeups, with little of the "wash out" that plagues most audience-shot videos from the ZooTV and Zooropa Tours.
Try not to laugh too hard when Bono kisses Adam on the lips during "Mysterious Ways"!
